2009 Skills USA Competition Results

MacKenzie Blanton and Kristen Stevens earned first place medals in Photography and Promotional Graphics Poster Design, respectively. First place winners are eligible to compete at the national conference; MacKenzie plans to be among the 5,000 state contest winners from across the country competing at the national level June 21-26 in Kansas City, Montana.

Kristen Stevens also placed third, earning a bronze medal, in Advertising Design

Zach Bick and Dustin Hall, bronze medal, Website Design and a 5,000 scholarship to Boston University

During the competitions, students work against the clock and each other, proving their expertise in various occupations. Contests are run with the help of industry, trade associations and labor organizations. Test competencies are set by the industry.
