• Sandy Creek had the highest score in Fayette County on the Georgia High School Writing Exam this year. We had 98% of our students pass the test and we had the highest percentage of students in the county exceeding standards. The state average for passing the test was 89%.
• Congratulations to the English Department and everyone for the success of our students on the GHSGT Writing Exam. Overall we had a 98% pass rate; first time juniors taking the test had a 99% pass rate (only 2 students out of 280 did not pass) and special ed had an 85% pass rate.
  
• Congratulations to Ms. Holland and the Model U.N. team for winning the Georgia State top honors.
• Congratulations to Anika Cooper, whose drawing was accepted into the Georgia High School Drawing Competition. Only 10% of the entries are accepted.
• Congratulations to the Foreign Language Department for their success at Clemson. We had two second places finishers in French 1, one second place finisher in French 4, one first place finisher in German 3 and German 4, one second place finisher in German level one.
