Breast Cancer Awareness Month Activities
The SCHS Interact Club is supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness society during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The following were our events for the 2008 school year.
October 3rd – Homecoming Game- We would like to sell bracelets, where customers may purchase a one dollar bracelet in addition to any other donations they would like to give to show their support for the cause.
October 5th -10th – The Interact Club will meet and design Breast Cancer Awareness shirts and wear them together on October 5th. Throughout the week as well as for the rest of the month, we will make the opportunity available for other students to purchase a shirt. Interact Club Relay for Life committee members will carry a discreet order form to keep a written record for people who purchase shirts. These items will not be sold during class as an effort to keep class interruption to a minimum.
October 12th-17th- All three lunch periods- Interact Club would like to make Breast Cancer Awareness pendants to be sold during all three lunches during the week of October 12th through the 17th. We would like to set up a table in the cafeteria where the pendants will be sold, as well as the opportunity for students to make donations.
October 20th -24th – After School- Interact Club would like to cell Breast Cancer Awareness cookies; brownies etc. as a bake sell after school, from 3: 20 to 4:00 pm, in the cafeteria.
October 27th –31st – The final week would just be a chance for any student to wear pink to show their support for the cause. We would like to make an announcement about this on the morning announcements.
