2008-2009 Our team had an undefeated season and made it to the second round of the state playoffs. This was a lot of hard work by the coaches and the players. WHAT A SEASON!!!!

SCHS Ladies Softball Team placed *SECOND* in the state losing a hard fought championship game 2-1. Team Picture>>
Congratulations to the Boy's Track Team as they repeated as the State AAA Champions! Christian Taylor won a number of awards and set several state records.
SCHS Cross Country teams placed 3rd and 4th in the region.
SCHS Ladies volleyball team placed second in the state
Football
In 2003 and 2004 the Patriot Football Program boasted two perfect 10-0 regular season records and trips to the AAAA State Playoffs, and 24 straight regular season victories. Rodney Walker, who in one of the most successful coaches in Georgia history with over 250 wins retired in 2005 and his son has taken over in his place. NFL players include Kedric Goldston (University of Georgia/Washington Redskins), J.R. Lemon (Stanford University/Oakland Raiders), Jabari Holloway (Notre Dame/New England Patriots/Houston Texans). Other players include Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who was the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2005 and was named a preseason ACC All-American in 2006, and was chosen #2 overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Basketball
In 2007-08 school year the Girls Basketball Team won Elite 8
The Sandy Creek basketball team made it the Final Four in 1997 and 2005. SCHS retired the Jersey of #23 L.T. Lockett, one of the most prolific scorers in Georgia HS history, in 2001. D-I basketball players include John Beckett (Georgia State University), L.T. Lockett (Middle TN State University/NBA summer league 2006)
Baseball
Brent Brewer was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers with the 60th pick of the 2006 MLB Draft. D-I baseball players include Jay Fields, Dusty Bennett (2004), Rusty Bennett (2001) (Georgia State University). Dusty Bennett was an All-Academic selection for both the Atlantic Sun Conference and the Colonial Athletic Conference. His older brother Rusty was a Freshman All-America selection by TPX, he was also a 1st Team All-Conference selection while playing in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Soccer
In Spring 2007, for the first time in school history, both the Sandy Creek boys and girls soccer teams made the state playoffs. The boys team achieved a #4 seed and the girls won the #3 seed in Region 6-AAA.
Swimming
The Sandy Creek Swimming Patriots have an outstanding swimming program, coached by Evans Martin.
